So remember
this post about my car hating Logan? Well, it still does. It has broken down EVERY year since I've been in Logan. I probably jinxed myself though because just the other day I was thinking how amazing it was that I hadn't had a problem with my car yet. I spoke too soon.
Curses.
Looks like either the battery or alternator will need to be replaced. My fingers are crossed it's the battery because that means less money I have to spend to fix it. But now I get to spend my day off tomorrow fixing my car. And you'd think I'd be an expert now on knowing what to do when my car breaks down since it always likes to do it when my dad isn't close by. But no. I'm still clueless when it comes to cars. So I'm not looking forward to tomorrow.
BUT even though this whole situation sucks and I may or may not have had a little melt down earlier, I've made myself look at the positive side of things. Because my new goal is to try to stay happy because everything is just better when people are happy.
So here is a list of things I've decided were good about this situation:
1. I'm lucky I didn't try to go home. My car could've died on the way and I would've been in a worse situation.
2. It decided to die during the day when I was at my home. It could've died late at night when I left Rylee's apartment or during the week when I have school or work to get to.
3. My cousin let me borrow his car so I could go to church.
4. My cousin and his neighbor were able to take a look at my car and help determine what was wrong with it. Instead of me explaining things over the phone to my dad and trying to understand and do what he tells me.
5. I have a job so I at least have a source of income that can help pay for whatever needs to be done.
6. It died during a 3-day weekend so I have time to get it taken care of instead of during the week.
So the situation still sucks and I obviously wish it didn't happen, but there's nothing I can do about it but fix it.
So that's what I'm going to do.
And on a little happier note:
I got a text from my brother yesterday that said
"I just asked Carson if he wants the babysitter to come over tonight and he said 'I want a babysitter to come over, but only if it is Chelsie, cause she tickles me!' "
Now this totally made my day. I was so happy that my little nephew still wants me to babysit him. I LOVE to babysit my nieces and nephews. And it makes it even more enjoyable when they love for me to babysit. I wished so badly I was at home and could babysit.
Cause who wouldn't want to babysit those adorable kids??
:)
