Decision Time

For the past couple weeks now I have been taking care of my cousins baby for two days a week. It has been a lot of fun not only getting to play with a baby all day and get the experience of a mom but also to get to know my cousins a whole lot more. They always jokingly brought up the fact that I should just transfer to the U and take night classes so I could live with them and take care of Ellie everyday. Be the permanent nanny. I always laughed and didn't think too much about it cause I figured that would never be an option but now I can't be too sure.
Today they brought it up again and this time I really gave it some thought. The kind of thought that I am now debating on whether to take them up on their offer or not. I would live in their basement- and with no offense to my cousins in Logan- it is a lot nicer and I would have a lot more privacy, not to mention a bathroom with a shower, I wouldn't have to pay rent or find a job cause they would actually end up paying ME to live there and take care of their daughter, I would be saving money by not having to drive to Logan and back as often as I do, I would be closer to my family, I would be closer the the great friends I have made this summer, and I could still do office work for the business. There are still downfalls to this option though. I would have to take night classes, I would most likely not be able to transfer in time for fall semester so I'd be behind in school (but would then be able to make more money to pay for spring), I'd be going to the U which is worse than USU for a BYU fan like me (ha), I'd have to buy and cook my own meals (Andrea is no Marcie when it comes to the kitchen- no offense Andrea :)), I wouldn't get to see the kids I love and lived with in Logan, I wouldn't get to see my friends I made at USU, I wouldn't get to wait hours on end to attend the awesome basketball games..
I love it up in Logan and I have already made a life and plan for myself up there- but is it all worth losing a great opportunity for me here?

I suck at making decisions. I always have and probably always will. I either don't care too much or just want both so badly that I can't choose. Obviously this decision fits the latter description and I just don't know what to do. I want both choices. I wish I didn't have to choose between the two.
But I do.
And I only have a couple weeks left to make that decision.

Let's hope I can make the right choice..

Boogie Fever

I think I was born in the wrong decade. All the other decades were much more fun! I enjoy them very much. This last decade party I attended was the 70's. The institute had a Roller-Disco BBQ which my friends and I were stoked to attend. Who doesn't love the excuse to dress up and go party? Granted I didn't dress up a ton this time but enough to make it fun.

But of course we can always count on Stacey to dress up like it's her job. :) haha

Celeste had a pretty awesome outfit too

I found out that I suck at roller skating. Aren't they supposed to be easier than roller blades? Cause pretty sure I almost died on them. I could barely move without flailing my arms around to stay balanced. I did make it around the parking garage once though so I felt somewhat accomplished. And then I got to do what I love- DANCE! We had our own little dance party. It was very enjoyable and I'm sure quite entertaining for everyone else to watch. Celeste had some pretty awesome moves that if seen by someone outside our group probably looked like we were crazy people haha- you know the ones at a party where everyone wonders what in the heck they are doing/thinking? Yep, that was us. It was awesome!

Lake Mary

Randy (the guy I went out with on the 3rd of July) asked me out on another date and wanted to go on a hike. Since he isn't from Utah, I was supposed to pick which hike to do. I love hiking so I was excited but then I realized that I really haven't been on too many in Salt Lake. At least ones I can remember the name or it has just been a while. Sad I know. So with the help of Google, we figured Lake Mary sounded good.
I was pleased with our decision. It was beautiful and so much fun!

I need to go on hikes more often!

Ultimate Summer

So pretty sure I am having the best summer ever! I finally am being social! Shocker right? haha I started off the summer not doing really anything besides working. I'd just hang out with my family and go to bed early. But now I must say I have the greatest friends ever! And I am definitely losing sleep because of it. I am not complaining though because we seriously have such a good time. What with all the game nights, dates, sleepovers on the tramp, rolling down a hill in a giant tube, swimming, driving up and down state street blasting out disco music, movie nights- drive ins included, and all the singles ward activities (which is where it all began)- it has turned into a great summer!
And there is still plenty more to come!

Advice:
Loaded Questions is such a fun game. It is my new favorite. If you haven't heard of it or played it I suggest you do! It is very entertaining :)
Despicable Me is a great movie. I really enjoyed it. The little minions are hilarious and the little girl is adorable!! Go see it.
Be true to yourself and your feelings. Don't try to like someone if the feelings are not there.
And last but not least:
Just have fun! Live life to it's fullest and enjoy every minute of it!! :D

Pickup Lines.. Really?

I've never really had someone use a pick up line on me. If they have, it's been in a joking manner and we both laugh about it. But Sunday I got to experience someone who used one being totally serious. I wanted to burst out laughing at him but didn't want to make the poor guy feel bad or get embarrassed. I mean first off I barely spoke one word to him- my name and then:
Guy: "I actually want to show you something. Is that ok?"
Me: "Who me?"
Guy: "Yeah."
Me: "Um sure..?"
Guy: *pulls out his phone* "I actually was hoping to show you your number in my phone."
bahahaha it really took a lot to not laugh! I mean really, who says that?! Hilarious!

Ok now for a quick weekend report since I struggle posting daily- which is something I wanted to start.. but obviously fail completely.

Thursday was Abbey's wedding. She looked beautiful. I really can't believe she is married now. Sooo weird. But I am very happy for her. :)

Friday was the Milne family 3rd annual camp out. We swim, roast mallows, do some fireworks and then camp out in our backyard. It's lots of fun. This year I actually left and slept out on State street with Heather, some of her friends, and an ex-boyfriends' family. It was a lot of fun and quite the experience with acting like I was 15 again, the cops getting involved because some kid kept driving by yelling at us so someone decided to call the cops on him, the sprinklers not getting turned off so no grass to sleep on, me having no trouble falling asleep on concrete, and then moving to the car because everyone else couldn't sleep on concrete.

Saturday was the parade and the first time (besides the times I was in the parade) that I wasn't with my family. I didn't like it. I had fun and all with the people I was with but it just wasn't the same. I love being with my nieces and nephews- it's the BEST watching them get so excited about the floats and especially the candy. So now I know never to leave my family again.
After the parade my family spent the afternoon out by the pool. Mmm so relaxing! But I had to cut my time short to go shower and get ready for a blind date. Marcie set me up with a friend of hers and I actually had a lot of fun. It was a little weird and I was shy and didn't talk much, but mostly because he talked to Marcie a lot about their childhood. But it was fun and we're gunna go out again sometime just the two of us so we can actually talk more and see if there is anything there.

Sunday was the great pick up line day. Oh man, gotta love those singles wards haha. But I celebrated the actual 4th of July at Stacey's house with a bunch of friends. We played Imagine If, roasted mallows, and then watched a movie. It was a lot of fun. I have some great friends!

Monday was another great day. I finally got to sleep in which felt great. Then I got to work in the garden for a bit followed by 3 hours laying out. Yeah.. kinda stupid because I definitely got burned but oh well, it already looks tan so I'm good with that! :)
I then had a date. And don't worry- I ran into my date from Saturday night, the awkward new friend I made the previous Monday, and a kid who I have heard really wants to ask me out. Hmm yep that was awkward. Ha but the date was actually a lot of fun! We went with his FHE and hiked donut falls which I have never done before and it was way cool. I can't believe I haven't ever been up there before! We then went to Leatherby's which is where we ran into my FHE and then finished the night at Stacey's and played a game of Loaded Questions. It was a fun successful date- save for those few awkward moments..
