Oh happy day!

The sun was out. I didn't have to wear a jacket. My car was actually hot when I got in it. I did a little shopping for my nieces since all their birthday's are this weekend. I watched Tangled which I love! I made cookies and they turned out so much better than last time. I made some new friends. So pretty much I have just been in a good mood all day. It makes it even better that tomorrow is Friday and it's Conference weekend so I'll be headed home to see my family!
Yep. Happy day is right!

Overload..

I don't even know how to begin this post. I've been stressed and way too busy the past two weeks and my brain is fried. And now that my tests are over with, I can finally relax. But of course my brain is still thinking accounting. It won't stop. Then add all the other thoughts I've had on my mind lately that I've tried to push to the back so I'd focus only on school.. and you've got one overloaded brain. So I can't even think of one thing for too long until it switches to something else. Like I've literally sat and stared at my computer and had a thousand things come into my mind of where I should begin..
So I won't try to make every thought flow together nicely. It'll just say it how it comes.

*School.
Oh how I am sick of it. How can study ten times more for a second test than the first and still get the exact score? I even felt good going into and out of the test. But no. apparently I didn't know anything. And then to top it off, the friends in the class with me tell me they didn't study at all and got better than me. It's just not fair. I still await the score from my test today and I can't decide how I felt about that one.. I just hope it's a better outcome than my previous one.
I also decided I need to learn to just tell people that I love accounting and I'm going to get my CPA. I know that'd be lying, but I'm sick of explaining myself over and over again. I don't love accounting. (I do have to add that I don't hate it either though- unless it's the week of a test.. haha). I'm not going to be an accountant. I am only attending college to get "a slip of paper." So yes- I am one of those girls that just wants to be a mom. I don't want a career. A degree is my "back-up plan" or whatever you want to call it.
So sue me.
I don't need to know how dumb you might think that is. I don't want to hear a lecture about how I should be doing something I love cause if not, it's a waste of time. And even though I've realized this semester that finance would've been a better degree for me, I don't want to hassle with changing majors and being in school longer. So I've made my decision and I'm sticking to it.
But just to clear something up for people out there- don't associate liking/being good at math with accounting. It's misleading. If you like/are good at math, then go into finance.

*My car broke down again and what was said to be a little easy problem to fix turned into a big project that my cousin Jeff was kind enough to try to help even though I know it turned into a big burden on him. To briefly explain, my alternator belt broke so I at first thought it was the same problem I had before. And was very upset by it because we just replaced the alternator. So I couldn't see how I could be running out of battery when my battery was good and I had a new alternator. So luckily I found out it was just the belt. And it was supposed to be an easy replacement. False. It was not. Come to find out, we had to remove a second belt to replace the first. Well the second belt was about to break too so we tried replacing that one as well. But just so you know, replacing the belts is not an easy process. Or in other words, don't try it by yourself. Just go take it in somewhere. It'll save you from having a lot of stress in your life.

*So I just have to say that I live with the best cousins ever! Seriously, they help me out sooo much. I mean Jeff spent a couple hours trying to fix my car and they were willing to let me borrow their car or take me to school. And then besides car stuff, they've let me live with them the past two years and I have loved it! But now Jeff got a new job so they'll be moving which means I can't live with them anymore. Which means I have to find a place to live next year. And that just does not sound fun.. How are you going to top a place that has cute little kids to play with all the time, home cooked meals every night, a room and bathroom all to myself, no roommate drama, and $100 monthly rent? Yeah.. I've had it good these past two years.. I guess I better get back to the reality of college life..

And now I better get off my computer and go to bed since I've also had a lack of sleep this week due to studying. And you'd think now that I don't have studying to do, I could catch up on that sleep. But no. Apparently blogging comes first.

Hope you've enjoyed my rambling.

Spring Break

So pretty sure I had a great spring break. And I hate that it's over. I didn't like that I had to go to school today. I just really want it to be summer.
Ugh.
Oh well. There's obviously nothing I can do about it. So I'll get over it and tell you all about my week. :)

So I started my break a day early to come home for Camille's wedding which was wonderful.

I already did a little post about her so I'll move on to avoid an extremely long post..

The next day (Saturday) I went over to my friend Lundy's house for a movie marathon which was a lot of fun. Although I realized I really need to be careful of who I flirt with and need to learn how to nicely reject guys. I'd avoid a lot of awkward uncomfortable situations..

Anyways.. Sunday was spent with family. It was Fast Sunday so we had a big family dinner over at my sister Tiff's house. We had a nice little BBQ in honor of the somewhat spring weather we have been getting. It was a lot of fun. I love when my whole family is together! Even if the night ends with a bruised knee because my brother-in-law pushed me over when I was giving Christal a piggy back ride to the car.. haha

Monday I spent all day at my sister Tiff's house. I babysat for her and then just hung out all night.

We played Rummikub and I won every time. It was pretty sweet. Mostly just because apparently Tiffany always wins so she needed to lose so she doesn't get too full of herself.. :P haha.

Tuesday was a pretty lazy day. I sat around most of the day doing pretty much nothing. Except I did spend 2 hours working out while I watched a movie and then later at night I went and did zumba with my mom and sisters. That was a lot of fun. I love zumba and it was fun to have a girls night with my family.

I already did a little post about Wednesday. That was a great day.

I went over to Soup's house later that night after he got released. It was good to hug him and have him hug me back haha. But we just spent the night hanging out with friends and he was just the same old Soup I knew two years ago. Just maybe with a hint of a Mexican accent haha.

Thursday I drove up to Logan in the morning. I decided I should probably go to work and make some money for a couple days. So Thursday wasn't too exciting. I just worked all day and watched tv all night.

Friday I spent the day working again but then once I finished, I drove back to Murray and quickly got ready for my date with Soup. And I have to just start off by saying it might have been one of the funnest dates I've been on! He picked me up and we went to our friend Jace's house where we were going to eat. It was a triple date- Jace with his date Lauren, Pace with his date Liz, and Soup with me. We made spaghetti and Soup and I were in charge of the bread and salad. It was pretty difficult.. so we ate and talked and showed Soup some popular youtube videos before we cleaned up and got in the car to drive to Ogden. Now you might be wondering why Ogden? and that is because it is the location for Flowrider which is an indoor surfing place. It was so much fun! Although I'm terrible at surfing. So I gave up and did the boogie board the whole time. Many people got the hang of it, but it was definitely entertaining to see people eat it. It didn't hurt too bad either. I only have a couple little bruises and my neck is sore, but I think it was worth it! I wish I would've gotten my camera out and taken some pictures. But I was having too much fun that I didn't even think about it. And the hour we had went by way fast. But seriously, it's so much fun. If you have the chance- go try it out!
Oh, and just to advise the girls- don't wear makeup because it is sure to be all over your face and wear a good swimming suit. Preferably with shorts and even one of those tight shirts that I can't quite think of the name of right now.. because that water is strong and will give you problems.. haha
So once we were done we stayed and watched the next group for a bit because they were pros. It was awesome. But we eventually left and drove back to Salt Lake where we stopped at Wendy's for some Frosty's and then the night came to a close. And I just have to say that for being home for only 2 days, Soup was definitely not the normal awkward RM.

I didn't do too much during the day on Saturday. I meant to go run some errands and visit my sister-in-law and her kids but of course I got too lazy and didn't. So after sitting around all day I finally decide to shower and get ready for another date, this time with my friend Jon Clark. The plan was to go snow shoeing so I had to rummage around the house trying to find some snow clothes and I found this awesome hat from Ukraine:

I had a little fun with it, but didn't end up wearing it because let's face it, it was just too big haha. So Jon picked me up and we met up with the rest of the group at Italian Village. After dinner we headed up the canyon and got in our snow gear and headed up a trail. It was a lot of fun and I must say- snow shoes are weird! I felt awkward walking in them. But I enjoyed myself and had fun. We didn't get too far until Jon and I wanted to take a break so we sat down and talked for a while until the others joined us and we went back to the cars. We then went to a guy's house and played a card game the rest of the night.

Sunday was Soup's homecoming. He did such a great job! He didn't even seem to be nervous, even with the Prophet in the congregation! (Soup's home ward is also President Monson's home ward. Remember this post. It's because of Soup's mom that I went that day).
I went to his house afterwards for some treats and socializing and had a great time. I forget how much I love my Olympus friends. They are truly the greatest friends I have and I can't wait for the rest of the guys to get home now!

When I got back home, I tried to take a nap out on the tramp because it was such a beautiful day but I couldn't fall asleep. But it was still nice and relaxing being outside with the sun warming my face. Then later, after packing up a bit and deciding not to drive back up to Logan till the next morning (this morning), I went over to Jace's house to watch the Little Mermaid with a few friends. It was a good time.

So there you have it. My spring break in a nutshell.

Mmm, Mmm, Good!

My friend Soup (Nick Campbell) got back from his mission today. Boy was I excited to see that kid!

(Taken at Soup's Farewell)

Pace and I went to the airport to welcome him home which was a lot of fun. And I may or may not have given him a hug and freaked him out hahaha. Who would've thought Soup would ever be awkward and refuse to hug a girl?! What a good missionary.. following the rules all the way to the end. Don't worry- he has promised to hug me back later tonight after he gets released haha. But it was so good to see him. He's not waiting long to get back into the dating game. He already asked me out for Friday. That's going to be fun to see how awkward he'll be..

Welcome home Soup!

Cousins

This post is dedicated to my cousin Camille who got married yesterday.
Camille has always been my closest cousin. We are 3 weeks apart in age. We have similar personalities. We were inseparable when we were little- we were practically like sisters. I'm pretty sure most of my childhood memories involved Camille. So I'm going to take a trip down memory lane. And I warn any readers now that this post might only be meaningful to Camille herself.

* Camille secretly drinking my invisible water when I wasn't looking. She also stole a toy from me and I didn't even care.

* Playing house in the trailer in Camille's backyard. Note to self: don't get into cupboards that you can't open from the inside. The result will lead to being terrified and having to pound on the door until, with enough force, it finally opens and the mirror shatters.

* Having matching outfits. And always getting the same thing from our grandparents at Christmas. Too bad for our other cousin Stacey who got a red sweater instead of the blue ones we got.

* Sleeping over at Camille's house and pretending not to wake up in the morning so I don't have to help her with her paper route. haha

Ok, those were just a few of my favorite memories. Now you can just enjoy a few pictures that I have on my computer of us.
(I may add more later when I can get them off the family computer)

And now I have a new cousin that I can make some memories with.
Welcome to the family Jake!
